Over Labor Day weekend my brother Jeremy and his girlfriend Ashley flew in from Chicago for a weekend in Napa.
We had a fabulous time enjoying the beautiful scenery, visiting wineries, and checking out amazing restaurants. I love the symmetry of the vineyards. Seeing the rows and rows of grapes all lined up gave me such a feeling of peace, tranquility, and perfect calm.
We visited several smaller wineries including Hagefen Cellars, Ballentine Vineyards, Dutch Henry Winery, and Summers Winery. I loved how different the vibe was for each place. Cozy, classy, open…they were all absolutely lovely in their own way. And for a totally different feel we visited Castello di Amorosa, ‘the castle winery.’ It’s really fun to feel like you are on a movie set and imagine a whole bunch of possible scenarios taking place.
Wow, the food was incredible! ZuZus in Napa was my favorite! The tapas were unbelievably delicious. It’s so fun to be able to try several dishes that are each so incredibly different but all of them bursting with mouth watering flavors and delicious aromas.
It was an absolutely lovely weekend and we were all sad to see it end. But then, Napa’s not going anywhere so here’s to next time!!
