I cried like a baby during the whole book The Art of Racing in the Rain, the story of a family’s ups and downs through the eyes of their dog. Really, really good.
The Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mom by Amy Chua and The Triple Package by Amy and her husband Jed are packed with great stuff. The Tiger Mom explains the aspects specifically in Asian parenting that influence the outcome of hard working and dedicated individuals that excel enormously in everything they do and The Triple Package compares and contrasts different styles of parenting as represented by different cultures and the three traits that can be found in each that lead to success.
There is still a part of me that will have died and gone to heaven if I were sometime in my lifetime, be able to own and drive a Tesla. I was curious about where the name Tesla came from and loved reading this well written, informative, yet conversational book about the life of inventor, Nikola Tesla.
Last but not least I enjoyed A Walk in the Woods about Bill Bryson’s adventures on the Appalachian Trail. Very good read, especially since I have been driving in and around a lot of the areas that he talks about throughout the book.
